As a singer and guitarist, Bob Drury is an established and well travelled entertainer with extensive experience in a wide range of musical genres. It was whilst preparing a repertoire for solo vocal/guitar performances that he discovered his voice had virtually the same vocal range as Neil Diamond but it was an entertainment manager at a London venue who first told Bob that his voice actually sounded like the man himself!

The original recordings of songs such as I Am I Said, America, Love On The Rocks, and Desire feature a Neil Diamond vocal full of passion and power with that signature and distinctive rawness at the top end of his range. This could be Diamond at his best (guts, gravel and all!) but you then listen to the sensitive and beautifully delivered ballads such as Hello Again, Play Me, and September Morn and realise that there is much more to the voice than this

In his show A Diamond Experience Bob strives to recreate the magic of a Neil Diamond performance and delivers a polished and tirelessly practiced interpretation of the voice and guitar combination that has captivated millions of fans over the last five decades.

First public performance (acoustic guitar) at the age of 12 at a Folk and Blues Festival.

Began playing electric guitar at 16. Semi-pro in Midlands Pub, Club and College circuits for 7 years playing rock, pop, reggae, soul and blues.

Began serious study of classical 'finger-style' guitar in mid twenties graduated with BA (Hons) Music in 1997 and MA in Music Performance in 2000 (both Canterbury Christ Church University College).

Guitarist in Jeremy Mounts Kent based contemporary jazz outfit No Reply from 1992 to 1994 

Bandleader and guitarist for Kent based function bands Some Like It Hot and A Band Called Red from 1994 to 2004.

Developed career as a solo classical 'finger-style' guitarist performing at Arts and Music Festivals in Birmingham, Canterbury, Dover, and Hythe (Kent). 

Appeared on Meridian TVs Al Fresco food and drink programme performing own composition Nocturne. Also provided guitar music for many functions such as weddings, special dinners, theme evenings, corporate events, etc.

Solo Guitar/Vocal project began in Nov 2004. Began preparing the A Diamond Experience show during Spring 2007. First performances were during Summer 2007. Has since performed extensively throughout the UK and overseas for Cruise Ship Entertainment, Theatre Shows, *Corporate Clients, Restaurants, Clubs, Casinos, as well as many private family events both large and small.
